Imbecile is just for starters. It’s all about ME and you affirming ME. Every religion, every group, boy scouts, etc etc, every one must not only tolerate, they must “celebrate” and “advocate” or be labeled a “hater”.
As it should be. Communion is about and with God, not about celebrating gayness.
God does NOT support homosexuality and said so, why should they get to commit their sin and not face they consequences of His judgment?
Here’s a solution to this problem:
The homosexuals get a “divorce”, confess/repent of their sins, and commence a chaste lifestyle.
If they do that, I would imagine Fr. Sistare would be more than happy to offer them Holy Communion.
Congratulations, Father. I love it when an issue that transcends FR’s religious divide can bring us together.
The "Church" is Christ Jesus, who was God in the flesh. God's law, captured in the Bible, clearly states that homosexuality is an abomination to Him. A reflection of the Church as a whole? It's not the Priest who is ignorant, but Pryeor!
If that had happened in the Archdiocese of Washington, D.C., Donna Cardinal Wuerl would have revoked the priest’s faculties to practice within Donna’s Archdiocese.
“I dont think he ever got communion even when he got it.”

You are not just whistling dixie!

“Two of St. Paul’s phrases, from 1 Corinthians 11 and 10, are specially worth noting:
“Whosoever shall eat this bread, or drink the chalice of the Lord unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and of the blood of the Lord”; and “We, being many, are one bread, one body, all that partake of one bread”- a reminder that the Eucharist is not only for each man’s soul but for the unity of the Mystical Body. “
I hope Rhode Island Christians support Fr. Sistane. A young priest courageously fighting Satan. God bless you, Father Sistane.
Excellent.
What does Wuerl have to do with this article?
He can always gravitate to the Church of Whatever Feels Good, AKA the Unitarians.
Pryeor complained the sermons are pushing people away...
The righteousness of God tends to do that to those who are lost.
tenants are renters, not religious principles.
“But pressure the Church in general to “change” the deposit of faith? Never! There could be, and may be, martyrs’ blood in the streets. But it still would not and could not ever change.”
And it’s precisely this kind of moral consistency and absolutism that many people find comforting in a world with morals that are always changing according to the latest sin du jour.
The homosexual lobby will not be satisfied until their “lifestyle” is fully accepted by society and every sacred tradition and institution is defiled.
I smell a lawsuit here - based on their denial of their “right” to take communion ...
‘Course, they’ll lose ...
Why thank you it just goes to show that no ever expects the grammar police, they just show up. I quiver in anticipation of your next critique.
