True enough, AB. The Carmelites, for examples, are still going strong.
There is a convent of nuns who are the SILENT ones who live in cloister, not ever even seeing their family except behind the screen. Their purpose in life is to worship God and pray, pray, pray. Their cloister is in the HAIGHT-ASHBURY district of San Francisco.
