It would be very strange if an ex-KGB Communist became the Defender of the Faith. Then again, we live in strange times. Who could have imagined the mighty and free United States in thrall to an anti-American imposter? Who could have imagined that our populace could have become so ignorant and self-concerned as to not notice what was happening in our government?

Shows what a sorry state America and the West is in. Sad that we have to have Putin point out what our crooks, cowards, and self serving politicians refuse to address. I don’t trust him at all. I will give him credit for slyly knowing and using our failures in a verbal way to make our country and the West look like the fools they are.

It’s become a truly upside down world when the Russian President is standing up for Christianity and the American President is standing up for Muslims. It’s bizarre.
