I am only trying to find out what part, if any, their religion plays in their social and economic success.

'THEY' don't have any more 'success' than any other group.

Their chosen religion; however; is VERY good at amassing money and property.

I would say they are considerably behind Catholics, Baptist and other main steam Christian denominations!!!
