I’m glad you asked that question — and I believe the answer is NO, this rogue group does NOT represent the average “Methodist in the pew”. Leftist activists have co-opted what started out years ago as a group advocating against substance addiction (especially tobacco).
I wasn’t even aware that this bunch existed until this morning, and painful as it is to find out, I’m grateful to LifeNews for sounding the trumpet. I’m going to do a little “sounding of the alarm” myself in my local congregation.

I quit the episcopal church in disgust when the assistant priest got up and gave a strong pro-choice sermon and the head priest then lied and threatened me (he's a former cop) when I objected. I honestly don't think the congregation understood what the SOB was saying in his sermon. Most are so old that they're bordering on senility.
