He sounds very caring, and it sounds like his compassion has been used against him.

Valid therapy or not, the very existence of the organization was a thorn in the side of progressives. I somehow suspect Mr. Chambers may have been “persuaded” to shut down out of fear for his own reputation, that he wasn’t exactly walking his own talk. That is the way progressives operate, even more aggressively emboldened under the Obama administration.
If so a public confession is in order, not retreating from the public eye.
