Yep. May God place a protection around her. No doubt our liberals politicians are related to their liberal politicians. In other words: LIBERALS ARE LIBERAL, they are the same around the world.

Stirring debate?

So Mexican leftists are having trouble choosing between God and mass murdering drug cartels? Interesting...

Can we get her to run for the U.S. President. Apparently Natural born doesn’t matter anymore.

Obama would probably back door her citizenship if she tried.

I'd like to see MGM or somebody do a modern version of “The Magnificent Seven.” Seven Americans—veterans, ex-cops, mercenaries—defend a Mexican village against the drug cartel. The movie could use Spanish and English dialog with Spanish or English subtitles, depending on the audience. I know this is a fantasy but sometimes movies can affect change.

MEXICO CITY -- She rose to the podium and cast her eyes skyward. The mayor of Monterrey then entrusted her Mexican city to God and Jesus Christ as the crowd around her cheered. “I open the doors of this city to God as the maximum authority,” Mayor Margarita Arellanes said. “I recognize that without his presence and his help, we cannot have real success.”

Whether a sign of desperation for how dire things are in northern Mexico, which is plagued by drug violence, or simply a profession of faith, Arellanes’ weekend speech has rankled many in this country where the separation of church and state is a founding principle -- one that helped spark a violent uprising a century ago....

....Leftist congressmen in Mexico City suggested Arellanes should be investigated and maybe even brought up on charges. A host of academics and legal experts quickly listed the articles of the Mexican Constitution that she may have violated. Even some from her own conservative National Action Party (PAN) complained, but perhaps because her pious pledge came at an event organized by evangelical churches, not Roman Catholic ones.

If you think that's remarkable (and IMO it is), check this out:

President Yoweri Museveni has repented his sins and the sins of Uganda as a nation in a move aimed at establishing Uganda as a God-fearing nation. The President made this historic move at Mandela National stadium Namboole in the early morning of today (Tuesday) at 2:00am during national prayers for dedicating Uganda to God. "I denounce witchcraft and satanic practices. I repent on behalf of Uganda. We confess our sins. We repent of the sins of shedding innocent blood, corruption, bribery, sexual immorality, drunkenness, rebellion, insubordination, tribalism and sectarianism," Museveni repented amidst ululations from the Christians. The president dedicated Uganda to God to be his nation anchored on his principles and values.

The President, indicating that the next 50 years belong to the young generation, advised the young people to be God-fearing referring to the Biblical verse in Proverbs 9:10 which says, "The fear of God is beginning of wisdom."....The prayers were organized by Uganda Jubilee Network, an association of Anglican, evangelical and Pentecostal churches....

....Rev. Simon Peter Emiau said no matter how many times Ugandans pray, God will not intervene in the affairs of our country without fulfilling the conditions in 2chronicles 7:14 of repenting and turning away from wicked ways. Calling upon church leaders and Christians to repent, Apostle Charles Tumwine attributed the current high level of immorality in the country to the wickedness/darkness in the church arguing that what happens in a nation is usually a replica of the state of the church.

If there are conservative Catholic clergy in the region, she should make it a point to deal them in with the Evangelicals, as the two together would be a lot stronger against attacks by the anti-religious, who are almost guaranteed to launch a nasty attack against her and them.

In Mexico, as in every country in the Hispanic tradition, the Church is subordinate to the state.
