According to Peter there are 3 different heaven/earth ages. The heaven/earth age that WAS Peter's words, was destroyed, there was a flood. Which is what Genesis 1:2 has a flood, it is describing the total and complete destruction of every living creature.. dinos... (well except for the soul/spirit intellect as is described what made the Adam alive.) as also told by Jeremiah in chapter 4:22-31. This is when Satan rebelled as described in Isaiah 14:12- and Ezekiel 29:12-.

Peter says in IIPeter 3:5 For this they willingly are ignorant of,

that by the word of God the heavens were of OLD, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:

6 Whereby the world that then WAS, being overflowed with water, perished:

7 BUT the heavens and the earth which are NOW, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

8 BUT beloved, be NOT ignorant of this one thing,

that one day is with the LORD as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

TYPO should be Ezekiel 28 not 29... this describes the ‘tree’ of the knowledge of good and evil along with Isaiah 14:12- all happened between Genesis 1:1 and Genesis 1:2...

Christ and Paul called it the overthrow / casting down and the translators used the phrase ‘foundation of the world’.
