Luke 11:34, "ὁ λύχνος τοῦ σώματός ἐστιν ὁ ὀφθαλμός σου...." The lamp of the body IS the eye of you..." Should I also take this verse literally then, to mean my eye is a literal lamp based upon your strict rendering of the Greek word, ἐστιν?? It is true that Jesus didn't say, "This bread represents my body" or "This bread is symbolic of my body". However, He often used figurative language without identifying it as such. The context of His statements make it clear that the bread He was holding was not the same as His literal body; how could it be?

The context of His statements make it clear that the bread He was holding was not the same as His literal body; how could it be? well my God created the entire universe out of nothing, so I have no trouble believing that if he says something is His body than it is His body. It is a shame that your God is not all powerful.
