McCain was raised as an Episcopal ~ not as an Evangelical. The Episcopals are a 'reformed' church ~ that is, Roman Catholic in form and belief, yet independent.

Catholics are not Evangelicals.

At some point in his life he began visiting a Baptist church ~ they are Evangelicals, not 'reform'.

All too often it is obvious to me that McCain acts based on mistaken beliefs he carried over from his Episcopal upbringing.

I could just as easily cite his evangelical background. It’s really not that simple as to draw a line saying Catholics are here and protestants are here. Do some Catholics support illegal immigration? Sure.

Do some Protestants? Also sure.
