I know Catholics who go to church and are against abortion, but vote Democrat anyway. They make excuses for it, as if abortion is a fair trade-off for what they think the party represents. That is, compassion for minorities, gay rights, etc. The whole party line, which is mostly a lie. I'm a Catholic myself, and happy to be one, but I don't understand how they can be so swayed by surface appearances.

Articles like the one above, which are constantly flowing from Catholic sources, do a disservice to conservatism and conservative Catholics by continuing to promote the opposite of the truth about the Catholic vote, and we can’t fix what we don’t even know about.
Every article of this sort should be to educate conservative catholics to how their fellow catholics are voting, not misleading them with cheer leading and the generations old illusions that the Catholics are saving America and that catholic immigration will empower life and conservatism.
