So few do for the same reason most "Christians" in this country don't give more than lip service to their beliefs. As long as going along to get along works Ok they do exactly that and their faith recedes into the background of their lives. I knew Irish Protestants who became dedicated donors to the crowd who was shipping guns to Northern Ireland when they got roused up, but more often than not, Christians start to try become more charitable and better people when they start trying to live their Faith.
