In March 1978, Mother Angelica receives inspiration for television ministry after visiting a Chicago TV station. She saw a tiny television station on top of a large, downtown building. When she saw the cameras and video equipment and a few people operating out of a tiny studio, she marveled at how many people were reached by this ministry. As she walked into the studio she said, "Lord, I gotta have one of these!"

Happy 90th Birthday, Mother Angelica, and may God continue to bless and keep you!
I cannot begin to list all of the good things Mother Angelica has done for me. As a convert, I have learned so much from all of the shows on the EWTN network Mother founded, and have had so many questions answered.
In her own shows, Mother demonstrated such wisdom and common sense and spiritual insight, and had a great sense of humor to go with that, and was always cracking up her live audience!
There were so many great shows she gave to us, including Father Corapi's long and detailed Catechism teaching series (when he was still there, before his sad departure), and the old "Life on the Rock" with Jeff Cavins, and the various Bible courses and apologetics shows, and music shows, and the many wonderful newer shows, and on and on and on...
Blessed Mother Mary, please pray with and for Mother Angelica, as we all thank God for Mother Angelica, and we ask God to please keep Mother Angelica in His loving care.
