Our pastor, imported from Lebanon, delivered one of his best homilies ... ever. He spoke of the Eucharist .. of God's infinite love for us and then told us to go home and look in the mirror. The image reflected is that of Divine Love.
Last night, the perminant deacon, who gave the homily, asked those of us who are in parish ministry, I being in the adult choir, to stand up. It was based on what Jesus did, washed the feet, the master becoming the servant.
“Wow .. what a beautiful experience. Did they have brass and kettle drums at the Last Supper ; - )”
Pretty sure that they did... communion of saints and angels kicking up a racket. That’s what we were all doing last night. Make a joyful noise. Might be a bit more subdued tonight though.
