They had or not a say....there simply was not enough outcry behind what little objection there was then. I lived through that.. and saw there was little outcry nor interest to to do because “the people” had put their trust in SCOTUS....never imagining they'd rule as they did. They were blindsided before they even got their heads around it.
It is not much different today, only that now those who are so deeply entrenched in government are simply far more adapt at pulling the wool over the eyes of dumb-downed public, and ‘made certain’ through our educational system and removing parental authority over their children so it will be so...
We have lost the battle for the “minds” and “hearts” of our nation...as a whole. Thus we see the result playing out now. And we can contribute much of this to the infiltration and agendas of those who are set to destroy the power once behind this nation and it's families.

I beleive the stage is beign set for the AntiChrist to make an appearence as the world and idneed the US are becomming more and more hostile towards God and TRUE religion (while claiming htemsleves to be ‘religious’) The antiChrist will pretend to be ‘religious’ and ‘sympathetic to religious causes’ while HATING TRUE Christians and causign hte masses to also hate them- We are seeing a systematic and calculated destruction of all TRUE CHristian morals and seeign a steady course towards a world that views TRUE CHristianty asw ‘hateful- old fashioned- bigotted- racist’ etc etc and we are seeign the msm perpetrate thsi hateful lie about Christians liek never before
Like you say- we are very rapidly enterign the last days where evil is seen as good (as seen by the absolutely abhorrant filthy foul disgusting things they are teachign kids i nschools these days- ) and where good is hated and loathed with vehement disgust by the left- The day will soon come when they are so angry at TRUE CHristians that our lives will be in danger and crowds will cheer those that persecute Christians and be whipped into murderous fenzies at hte thought of murderign morality and htose that stand for it-
