Our Lord and Savior said it best with his first words during his ministry:
Mark 1:15
"And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel."
All of his gospel is summed up in this one scripture with respect our duty or what we have to do to gain salvation.
