Was this the Mass that Pelosi and Biden were to attend. Did they receive communion? I hope not! The Holy Father did not minister communion to anybody.
So that particular scandal was avoided.
I read or heard something somewhere that at this mass NO politician would be given communion (in order to avoid any scandal at all). Can't find a link for that though (sorry).

Confusing, since I believe that according to Catholic teaching, there has to be Holy Communion distributed at the Mass or it's technically not a Mass. A liturgy without the liturgy of the Eucharist would just be a prayer service.
