Wow! More and more facets of the enormous challenges facing all of us at this historic time continue to emerge, and can at times seem to be massively overwhelming.

The Holy Spirit clearly has some heavy lifting to do during this conclave and beyond, and (of course) God can handle that.

The Cardinals have some heavy lifting to do too, and, with God's help, they will be able to handle that as well.

The rest of us within the Church also have some heavy lifting to do, and it would likely be a good idea to ratchet up our own Lenten efforts at Prayer, Fasting, and Almsgiving, asking for God's gracious help in doing our own parts in these very challenging and harrowing times.
