The Bible is impervious to the modern western world’s demand for empirical truth. Faith is evidence of things not seen. Some may say that’s a convenient self-reinforcing system...but they don’t have to believe it.
Is not Jesus referred to as the “stumbling stone”, a rock that causes men to fall? They stumble because they disobey the message, and busy themselves suppressing the message, or just nitpicking it to death.
Many early Jewish and Hebrew word concepts are lost in our translations.
People act funny when convicted of sin. Some will deny it outright, some will get self-righteous against their accuser, some will point out others' sin to diminish their own, and others will lawyer their way out (e.g., argue the meaning of the word "is").
Then there are those that will admit it and move on to the blessing of salvation. God is good.

SEE! SEE!!! Right THERE. So his Jesus a rock - or a Man!? It is all FULL of contradictions.
I like the book Evidence Demands a Verdict by Josh MacDowell(?). Lawyer and former athesist out to “prove” the Bible wrong. Ends up a Christian instead. One point he makes is that with just like at a crime scene - different people have different points of views and see/hear different things depending on the time, where they were, and what they were focused on.
