we don't pray to, light candles to, nor bow down to a statue.

Of course not.../heavy sarcasm,p.

In every Catholic church you will find a crucifix....in case you didn't know , it is a cross with the corpus (Christ) attached.....just like it might have looked at the actual crucifixation.

Not for real. That's a nice, neat Jesus being crucified on the Catholic cross. Not a beat up, whipped, beard torn out, bloody, bones dislocated out of joint, naked Jesus.

Catholics use that to remind them of what Christ actually went through for all of us.....

That's what Jesus instituted communion for. Why isn't what HE did good enough that the Catholic church thought it could do better and change it?

we do not pray to the crucifix, it was manufactured by a church supply factory, probably in China...

The same China which is a communist country which has viciously persecuted anyone who professes belief in God?

Wonderful......

Words fail me at that.... There are just too many responses one could make to that to choose.

Your faith in christianity is alarmingly weak and your ability to recognize sarcasm is almost beyond belief. the person lighting a candle is not honoring that plastic statue on top of the pile. He/she is paying honor to the PERSON that the statue represents...When you look at the picture of your mom, and maybe shed a tear remembering her and a "Magic Moment"...you are not honoring the piece of paper on which your moms' picture rests.....you are honoring MOM...

You seem to hate Catholicism to the point that it clouds your ability to reason soundly....I make a statement that the parish bought a crucifix from a supply company (which everyone does, and that the crucifix could have been made in China.....you immediately jump on me concerning the church buying things from EVIL China.......the crucifix is a decorative piece......most decorative pieces nowadays are made in China....that's what they do, make things. There is nothing inherantly evil about buying something from China....even a rosary can be made there....it is a THING....The Camera that took mom's picture was more than likely made in China. But off you go on a tangent....China, which means nothing to anyone.
