There’s a clear distinction here between this retailer and the people in the south who refused service to blacks in the 50s (and earlier). Here the cake maker is being charged with refusing to provide and produce a specific product. I have no doubt he would have no objection to baking these women a cake and even icing it but the conflict came when they wanted the custom cake to celebrate their union which to him was immoral. It would be like someone coming in and demanding that he create a custom cake of a pen*s and a vagi*a. I’m guessing he wouldn’t do that either. I hope his lawyers figure out that distinction.

Exactly. The guy doesn't make "gay" cakes. You can't force someone to make a product they don't offer. Try going to Ford, and force them to make you a Corvette.
