The difference between Islam and Christianity is ultimately due to the difference between the founder of Islam (Muhammad) and the founder of Christianity (Jesus Christ).

The moral behavior of these two men can hardly be more different. If Muslims persecute others, they are acting in accordance with their prophet’s teachings and behavior. If Christians do the same, they are acting in violation of their Lord’s teaching and behavior.

Good point.

Consider for a moment that Muslims and Christians that persecute others are acting as the "natural" man. They act the same because they are on the same level spiritually.

In order for a Christian to actually benefit from Christianity, they have to put it into practice. You have to actually do it. I guess that's why works is stressed so much through out the New Testament. Christianity gives a path to a higher level of peaceful living and eventually to God. But people have to put it into practice.

Islam on the other hand doesn't provide any such path. Which is why I believe it can't lead men to God. (Well that among other things...but you get the idea of where I'm coming from.)
