The bishops are huffing and puffing with false bravado. No one is going to go to jail over Obamacare. The regime isn’t going to criminally prosecute anyone for failure to pay for Deathcare.

The regime will merely attach and seize bank accounts, and failing that, will attach financial assets, and then real property, seizing each as it deems fit. The bishops will stand by while foreign thieves steal the treasures laid up by generations of laity for the glory of God and to serve others out of love for God.

No bishop will spend a night in jail over failure to pay Obamataxes for Deathcare by Obama.

Bingo.

That is exactly what will happen.

I concur. No one’s going to jail, but this is the proper stance for church leaders to take. If the “treasures laid up by generations...” are seized, so be it. Our treasures should be laid up in Heaven. The church will go forward without earthly assets, and persecution will purge all the posers allowing true growth.

I, along with many thousands more Christians, have been praying for revival for quite some time now, and I fear that revival is going to come out of persecution of the church. If that is the LORD’S will, then I guess >Here we go!<

The bishops are huffing and puffing with false bravado.

If they're not willing to die for their faith they shouldn't be bishops.

I don't think this is false bravado at all.

And I think that 'Federal Government Siezes Assets and Bank Accounts of Several Churches' will be just as shocking as a picture of a bishop behind bars.

If the administration pursues this attack, there will be consequences, no matter how smart they think they are.

Uh huh.....that's the first part of the plan.

And when your assets have been seized, your bank accounts frozen, your property confiscated and you still refuse to comply with Big Brother, what happens then?

That's right. The same thing that happens to Joe Public when he refuses to pay his court imposed fines.

You spend some time in the pokey.

The Bishops are involved with far more than an individual insurance mandate. They oversee Hospitals and Charities -non profit employers that will not comply. They pay no taxes.

What will the administration do if the Bishops do not comply with the seizures? I doubt it will be as you suggest -nothing.

Flashback to the time of the Reformation: "the temptation to loot Church property and the habit of doing so had appeared and was growing; and this rapidly created a vested interest in promoting the change in religion. Those who attacked Catholic doctrine, as for instance, in the matters of celibacy in the monastic Orders, or of a divinely appointed Hierarchy with the Papacy at its summit, opened the door for the seizure of the enormous clerical endowments, monastic, episcopal and parochial, by the Princes of City corporations. Men already individually powerful through their wealth, especially through their ownership of land, joined the rapine. The property of convents and monasteries passed wholesale to the looters over great areas of Christendom: Scandinavia, The British Isles, the Northern Netherlands, much of the Germanies and many of the Swiss Cantons. The endowments of hospitals, colleges, schools, guilds, were largely though not wholly seized. Those of the clergy and hierarchy, the lands supporting Bishoprics and Chapters and parish clergy were robbed from seven-eights to half of their value. -- Hilaire Belloc, Characters of the Reformation

Again I point you to your posted claim. Though I might agree with you that the government may not arrest any Bishops instead seeking to take monies and properties -THIS possibility in no way proves your claim that the Bishops are not sincere.

Your pessimism is noted as is your disgusting attack upon the integrity of the Bishops. In all honesty no one can know what the Bishops will do. My faith that the Bishops will not capitulate is just as valid as your faith that they will.
