I blogged on this yesterday.

Here’s what I opined:

As a Watchman on the Wall, he is warning America from the pages of scripture of our national sins that will soon condemn us to judgment.

Our first clear warning for our nation to repent was the removal of God’s Hedge of Protection, and America’s repentance was short lived. Two years after 9-11, America and her courts were removing God’s Commandments from courthouses and public spaces. Since then, God and Jesus Christ are ridiculed, scorned, mocked and His followers called ‘intolerant’, ‘bigots’ and worse by a growing segment of this nation’s civil and cultural leadership.

The warning given here in this message is one many servants of God have been proclaiming of late. But even His Churches have become lukewarm and salt-less, ignoring the warnings and messages. Instead they find solace in a gospel of wealth and prosperity they have constructed for themselves, recreating Jesus into an image that fits the decadence and self-absorbed culture

Youtube has been busy removing this video as offensive almost as soon as it is uploaded. The warning of truth is considered offensive to this generation and efforts to marginalize and silence those whom God has anointed for that work would suffer the same fate as Ancient Israel’s prophets of God should this people be empowered to do so.

This message is powerful. Bold. Illustrating biblical prophesy and the parallels our nation is facing.

Pastor Cahn shared these words of Abraham Lincoln, “And whereas it is the duty of nations as well as of men, to own their dependence upon the overruling power of God … and to recognize the sublime truth, announced in the Holy Scriptures and proven by all history, that those nations only are blessed whose God is the Lord.” My eyes filled with tears. How I long for a leader of our country to speak such words now.

Unfortunately, as with much of American Churchianity – this event was attended only by like minded brethren and has already been afforded its contempt in mass media coverage while the masses gathered to praise Obama as sovereign and lift their prayers to … apparently the spirits of our ancestors.

Jesus said, “He who has ears, let him hear!”

America is not heeding the warning, neither are most churches willing to hear or preach this message.

In fact, during this impassioned message as you watch, especially near the end, watch men in ties and suits and women walking around the stage behind and in front TALKING while Pastor Cahn is still passionately preaching. The amount of DISRESPECT for one giving such a message is even self evident among those attending a prayer breakfast. They were not listening – they were busy talking to one another – a HUGE amount of disrespect to the Word of God being expounded upon by those people I am sure think highly of themselves because they attended.

In a way, that is a microcosm of the church itself in America. Some applaud the message of warning and repentance, and most of those are in the seats in the back and out amongst the gathered. Meanwhile, the leaders, the pastors and organizers – are busy squawking among themselves, disdaining the message, and nary even paying attention to the dire warning and call that IS THEIR CHARGE TO GIVE TO THEIR FLOCKS.

But they are not heeding, nor even listening. They are mostly about their own agendas, ministries and efforts - few of which are even related to Matthew 28:19-20, or equipping the Saints to actually go out and do that Commission.

Lord help those of us with ears to hear, and through HIS Spirit – MOVE in action to DO what needs to be done among a wayward people in an age of evil.

Thank you so much for sharing your blogpost. This sermon was as good as Johnathan Edwards’ “Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God”. It SHOULD have started a major revival and maybe still will.

Unfortunately, most people only have “itching ears” and will only hear what they want to hear.

I am getting really tired of "Christian Commentators" that keep whinging about how "corrupt" the Church has become, instead of taking their "message" to the truly corrupt pagans!

As far as I'm concerned, you're cut from the same cloth as politicians that want to show how tough they are on crime by making more laws that will be ignored by everyone EXCEPT the folks who weren't breaking any of the old laws in the first place (cf. gun control)

Don't sit there and preen about the "shallow" people of faith who aspire to lead quiet lives in reasonable comfort, until you're prepared, willing, and able, to indict the truly corrupt, truly wicked, and truly socially corrosive.

The people of faith already KNOW they don't live up to divine standards; they're not nearly the problem of the rest of society that is getting progressively better at calling good, evil, and calling light, darkness.
