The same dictionary defines the term Papist as: a Roman Catholic, yet that's not a term Roman Catholics would ordinarily welcome in a civil conversation with members of other faith groups.

The same dictionary defines the term Papist as: a Roman Catholic and notes that the term is "usually disparaging". It makes no such note about the term "Lutheran". Furthermore, I can drive about my local area and find numerous examples of buildings labeled "[Something] Lutheran Church", or similarly "[Something] Catholic Church" or even "[Something] Roman Catholic Church".

I have yet to see any group or organization label itself "Papist".

So: are there any definitions of "Lutheran" given in that dictionary with which you disagree, or that you find offensive?
