I believe you and the Holy Father cited correctly the Western Church. I agonize over the condition of the Catholic Church in the USA. It is shocking the socialist strain that runs through her, gets all the press and the first microphone. Depressing, but God, how I love her and will never leave her.

Look around you, though. The new, young priests are on FIRE and ‘the old order is rapidly changing.’ New Archbishop in Los Angeles, Archbishop Gomez, trained under Archbishop Chaput in Denver. He is conservative and orthodox, and he is setting things right. If it is happening even in Los Angeles, it has to be happening elsewhere.
It’s just the last gasp of the 60s generation - in society itself, in the Catholic Church too, and in other churches. I love the Catholic Church, too. We are converts. The ship will be righted.
I came out of mass today, and as I was leaving the parking lot, wound up behind a car that had an Obama bumper sticker on it. I don’t get it. Each week, we hear the priest talk of the assault on the Church, the evils of abortion, the attacks on the first amendment, etc. and this moron parishioner voted for Obama.
