I was just watching some Youtube clips. Woody Allen had a tête-à-tête as it were, with WF Buckley circa late 1967/early 1968.
Buckley made a reference comparing liberalism and LBJ to a some [forgotten] woman that went something like "she helped bring socialism to Britain after WWII, then prompted abandoned the resulting ashes for France."
