Do you believe that Jesus rose physically, bodily, from the dead, that his disciples were able to literally see him and literally touch his glorified body? That is at the heart and center of the whole Christian faith. If yes, then one can see that the bodily resurrection of the dead is likewise to be taken literally. If no, then you are outside the Christian faith and have a different gospel, which is no gospel at all.
Jesus’s rising from the dead is what all who put their faith in HIM, how they will rise from the dead in body form.
