Scripture is for the most part ‘plain language’ and easily understood. Those that declare that scripture has hidden (occult) meanings that need to be delved, are the messengers of Satan.

"And account the long suffering of our Lord, salvation; as also our most dear brother Paul, according to the wisdom given him, hath written to you: As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are certain things hard to be understood, which the unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, to their own destruction."

2Peter 3: 15-16.

So am I to understand you correctly, you are of the unlearned and unstable?

Have you wrested with the scriptures to your own destruction?

He is speaking of the non-elect, that wrest with God’s word.

2 Peter 3:14-16 Therefore, beloved, since you are waiting for these, be diligent to be found by him without spot or blemish, and at peace. 15 And count the patience of our Lord as salvation, just as our beloved brother Paul also wrote to you according to the wisdom given him, 16 as he does in all his letters when he speaks in them of these matters. There are some things in them that are hard to understand, which the ignorant and unstable twist to their own destruction, as they do the other Scriptures.

Only some things hard to understand, not all things.
