"...but thou shalt meditate therein day and night"

"When I remember thee upon my bed, [and] meditate on thee in the [night] watches.....I will meditate in thy precepts, and have respect unto thy ways...My hands also will I lift up unto thy commandments, which I have loved; and I will meditate in thy statutes....Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all"----Meditate is to ponder. It also means to mutter, ie say to your self, speak softly again and again. Not as the heathen do thinking their many words impresses God but to repeat to yourself to anchor it in your heart.

I suggest you make a list, say, verses about the love of God towards us, and mutter them to yourself when you get up, so that they will be with you through the day. ...Example follows ........ 1Peter1… to those who have received (obtained an equal privilege of) like precious faith with ourselves in and Through the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ: May grace (God’s favor) and peace ( perfect well- being, all necessary good, all spiritual prosperity, and freedom from fear…. conflicts) be multiplied to you in the full, personal, precise, and correct] knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.--- I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. - Galatians 2:20 ---

Know therefore that the LORD your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commands. - Deuteronomy 7:9 --- For the LORD loves the just and will not forsake his faithful ones. . . - Psalm 37:28 --- This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his son. – 1 John 4:9-11--- And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him. - 1 John 4:16--- We love because he first loved us. – 1 John 4:19-20 --- but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
