"When I remember thee upon my bed, [and] meditate on thee in the [night] watches.....I will meditate in thy precepts, and have respect unto thy ways...My hands also will I lift up unto thy commandments, which I have loved; and I will meditate in thy statutes....Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all"----Meditate is to ponder. It also means to mutter, ie say to your self, speak softly again and again. Not as the heathen do thinking their many words impresses God but to repeat to yourself to anchor it in your heart.
Know therefore that the LORD your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commands. - Deuteronomy 7:9 --- For the LORD loves the just and will not forsake his faithful ones. . . - Psalm 37:28 --- This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his son. 1 John 4:9-11--- And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him. - 1 John 4:16--- We love because he first loved us. 1 John 4:19-20 --- but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8 --- I love you, O LORD, my strength. Psalm 18:1 --- 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.'
And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' Matthew 22:37-39-------
God’s WORD is where we will gain our strength. It’s LIGHT to our pathway through this maze we are all in.
Amen ‘PW’. Around the world, those of other religions, call Christians- “ the people of the book”....wonder why ???
Thank you, for loving and sharing the absolute truth of God’s Word!
