Me, also!
I had nothing more than a vague picture of Joseph Smith, Bringem Young and all the women they exploited.
I plead more ignorant than you, I just thought of Donnie & Marie! That was my extend of Mormonism.
So, I joined you in thanking Colofornian for all the work and putting up with all the hate when enlightening us. As well as the other exMormons who were trashed while posting info on it.
I always find it amazing how some people will listen and others just put on their blinders and just cry "bigot" when people are bringing up the truth.
Colofornian and others are tireless in their efforts to bring up the truth. I have long given up on people but I also thank the Inmans for their strength and perseverance in exposing what Mormonism really is.
Thank you guys. For many of us, both ex-mormon and/or in ministry to the LDS, part of our calling is to warn others about what the LDS church really teaches.
For me, it is personal. As a teenager, all I knew about the LDS church was what my best friend told (lied) me. My ignorance and nominal Christianity (I wasn’t born again) coupled with the beautiful lies the missionaries told me led me to join. After I joined, I started to find out what they really believed and I bought it. Leaving was long and painful but God used Mormonism to break me to the point I accepted Christ.
I don’t want others fooled the way I was.
