I'm sorry that you have had bad experiences with the Mormon church, and I appreciate the fact that you're trying to inform people. Whatever bad things are going on there, hopefully, the public will be made more aware.
Having never met a Mormon, that I know of, it's difficult to relate to this thread. However, I do know a lot of democrats, and I have to associate with them on a daily basis. Our pastor talked today about getting through Thanksgiving and Christmas family dinners without political arguments. I will be doing that for the sake of the children, and in honor of my mother, who died one year ago.
