Thanks Frank. I needed to refocus; your post helps.
My mother and I have both used this principle to be healed of cancer. I had surgery and my mom had no treatment at all. Both of our situations baffled the doctors.
God’s Word is powerful. The biggest obstacle I dealt with was fear. Sometimes my prayers were for healing; other times they were to overcome the fear and for increased faith.
God is good.
Wonderful. True.
I can not say that you are wrong in your idea but i think James was talking about the fact that if a man can control his tongue it would also help him to control his fleshly sins.
It is a sin to see some one who is thristy and not give them something to drink.
So if you are cussing some one because they are not up to your standard it would be much easier to pass them by even though you should stop and help them.
You can see that James was referring to what Jesus had already told us about helping others.
We can claim to have all kinds of faith but if we can not do these simple little things that Jesus said to do then maybe that faith is not really faith.
Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
It is our hearts that need the healing, our bodies will soon be just a pile of dust.
