Martin Luther Weeps

On a small so-called Lutheran college campus in northern Minnesota, a national battle for the soul of America is being played out in microcosm. In response to the left’s cancer that has plagued America’s institutions, where fealty to leftist Pagan values is now a virtue, and the hostile intolerance of all other values a requirement, a courageous young lady has decided to lay down her own very small gauntlet against the oppressive and Orwellian indoctrination of the left.

In her world, that indoctrination starts early, via the insidious and not-so-subtle “Coming Out” week, where Pagan propaganda is not only celebrated, but forced upon incoming students. It’s done with little or no countering viewpoint by so-called Christian authorities on campus or from the already indoctrinated so-called Christian student body at large.

Just as every Christian student knows only too well, leftist indoctrination at University starts early. Not only will most liberal arts classes be staffed by professors that find Christian values anathema to their Pagan worldview, professors spend a great deal of their time making sure that every vestige of Christianity is stripped from incoming freshmen as quickly as possible, in much the same manner that a military drill sergeant strips the incoming recruit of any vestige of the civilian life he/she left behind. Students quickly learn that professors are nothing more than leftist propagandists cloaked in “learned” garb, and that they are primarily there for reasons other than the pursuit of the class title in the syllabus. Any defence mechanism used by Christians to protect themselves against the daily battery of hatred and leftist intolerance is met with such an onslaught of hostility that it doesn’t take long for students to quickly learn that abandonment of their value system, or going underground with it, is, unfortunately, the only available response left to most.

However, that’s not the case with Concordia College senior Rebecca Julius. She has weathered this storm for years, and has finally made the courageous decision to wear a “Sin is Sin” t-shirt, in response to the “Love is Love” t-shirts worn by many of the Pagan LGBTQ rights supporters at this time of year on campus. You would think by the responses she has received that she had committed the most heinous of all crimes. But she hasn’t. She only wants to wear a t-shirt, like the hundreds of others that will be choosing to do the same on the other side of the argument.

Moreover, fighting the Pagan left comes at a tremendous price, as this young lady knows only too well. Perusal of the Facebook responses to her actions on her Facebook page alone can help one come to that conclusion quickly, as most opposition posts can best be described as overwhelmingly hostile and venomous. Like most pagans, these leftists demand fealty to their point of view. They do not tolerate views not approved by their totalitarian masters in the DNC.

The tone of many can be exemplified by one post made in response to Rebecca’s comment that her Christian University will never stop trying to shove tolerance and acceptance (of the Pagan LGBTQ position) down our throats. On Sept 5th, an Anna responded, “GO CONCORDIA. If there is anything in this world that SHOULD be “shoved” down your throat, it is exactly that….”

The Concordian, the University paper, has piled on, as well. In the article, “Sin is Sin’ t-shirt stirs debate,” the author finds only those that hold the Pagan viewpoint to weigh in on the subject, save for Rebecca, the object of her piece, of course. Surprise!….The author even finds a Concordia campus pastor more than willing to trumpet in the Pagan icon of moral equivalency to lambast Rebecca’s position, and obviously at the expense of scripture that holds to the contrary (Romans 1:27, Leviticus 18:22, Leviticus 20:13, or even Martin Luther himself), which is just as the pastor’s ELCA leadership at the national level has chosen to do.

There is no doubt that Pagan leftist values are anathema to Christian ones, particularly as they relate to the subject of homosexuality. The accompanying quotes below can easily attest to that. Nevertheless, the backlash this one brave young lady has experienced, and just for maintaining her Christian perspective, truly exposes how pervasive the Pagan culture is on this campus.

As for so-called Christian colleges, like Concordia, it truly exposes how use of the word, “Christian,” has become so bastardized. The word “Christian” is not only used to dupe unsuspecting Christian parents of High School seniors into submitting their children to Pagan indoctrination, it’s used to help in the field of donations, where both the donor and the school collaborate in the mutual delusion that the gift is for some higher purpose.

“The epistle to the Romans is the true masterpiece of the New Testament and the very purest gospel, which is well worth and deserving that a Christian man should not only learn it by heart, word for word, but also that he should daily deal with it as the daily bread of men’s souls. It can never be too much or too well read or studied, and the more it is handled the more precious it becomes, and the better it tastes” (Martin Luther).

Romans 1:27 (KJV) Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.

Leviticus 18:22 (KJV) Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.

Leviticus 20:13 (KJV) If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

The “Concordia” mentioned in this article is the only ELCA school with that name. All the other colleges and seminaries in this country with the name “Concordia” are LCMS and thus would NOT approve of homosexuality.

I believe the concordia they are talking about is in Moorhead MN, right next to Fargo.

“Here I stand. I can do no other. God help me.” - Luther

Looks to me like the young woman in the article is following Luther well.

This article on life at Concordia simply confirms for me again my decision not to be consecrated for diaconal ministry in the ELCA, and my further decision last year to leave the ELCA for good and become a Nazarene. It’s nice to be in a church that truly lives by God’s Word.

this Catholic thinks that the college should be sued for using the term “Lutheran”, as should the ELCA. All us conservatives — whether Lutheran or Catholic need to stick together to fight the common anti-Christian enemy.

Yep. Made my decision in 1993 not to be ordained in the Evil Lutheran Church in America. I haven’t looked back.

The term “liberal arts” is based on a much older definition of “liberal”:

The liberal arts (Latin: artes liberales) are those subjects or skills that in classical antiquity were considered essential for a free person, in other words, a citizen, to know in order to take an active part in civic life and public debate....

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liberal_arts

Nowadays, if anyone taught REAL liberal arts courses—not the deconstructionist falderal and New World Order/dhimmi/feminazi/gaysbian propaganda that passes as “liberal arts” today—they would be truly conservative!!!!

Looking at ELCA "leadership" these days, Martin Luther would join the lawsuit:

"There is no more terrible plague, misfortune or cause for distress upon earth than a preacher who does not preach God's Word; of whom, alas, the world today is full, and yet they think they are pious and do good when indeed their whole work is nothing but murdering souls, blaspheming God and setting up idolatry, so that it would be much better for them if they were robbers, murderers, and the worst scoundrels, for then they would know that they are doing wickedly. But now they go along under spiritual names and show . . . and are at the same time ravening wolves in sheeps' clothing, and it would be well if no one ever heard their preaching."
