sco, “spinning in their grave”
“Episcopal” church, a classic example of entropy. On the flock it gorges, mmm, succulent, corpse of the of the fathers labors & their children, the sheeple.
Rab.
The Episcopals are practically dead. Shame, it’s like Satan himself sent moles in to destroy this denomination.
Fascinating article from the Blaze:
Seems the Episcopals have spent all their money keeping fleeing congregations from taking their buildings with them, and now are left with empty buildings they can’t use, fill, sell, or support. Something totally demonic about that.
And it all started with what they attempted to assure everyone was just one homosexual bishop.
They should just renounce Christianity and be done with it.. never mind.. they already have.
The Anglican/ Episcopal tradition was begun on a faulty premise and its demise will be caused by same.
Unless you eat of the flesh of the son of man and drink of his blood you will NOT have life within you.
Tu es Petrus...
And the Episcopal Church continues to jockey to become the one world religion which will eschew God as the end times approach. What the hell is a "theological conservative" if not one who believes in the Word of God?
Bring out your dead.
(BONG)
Bring out your dead.
They are acting less and less Christian.
Because you want to contracept?
“More importantly, they represent a departure from the doctrine, discipline and worship of Christ as this Church has received them”
Welcome to the party, pal. This departure is now >50 years old.
At the rate they're shrinking, that's going to be a pretty small "world" ... maybe instead of a "one world religion," they'll be a "0.00085734 world religion".
No point in having a church that prostitutes itself to the zeitgeist at every turn. People don't need "church" for that; it's easier, simpler, and more honest just to be an atheistic hedonist.
Actually, the Anglicans move toward liberalism coincides with moving towards RC Eucharistic doctrine:
Representatives of the Anglican and Roman Catholic churches declared that they had “substantial agreement on the doctrine of the Eucharist” in the Windsor Statement on Eucharistic Doctrine[4] developed by the Anglican-Roman Catholic International Commission, as well as the commission’s Elucidation of the ARCIC Windsor Statement.
On January 6, 1994, the ARC/USA bishops affirmed “that Christ in the eucharist makes himself present sacramentally and truly when under the species of bread and wine these earthy realities are changed into the reality of his body and blood,” while stating “In English the terms substance, substantial, and substantially have such physical and material overtones that we, adhering to The Final Report, have substituted the word truly for the word substantially...” The bishops concluded “that the eucharist as sacrifice is not an issue that divides our two Churches.”[6]
This is understood as amounting to an acceptance of the doctrine, with an expression of a reservation about the use of the name of the doctrine in English because the word is misunderstood by English speakers .- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anglican_Eucharistic_theology#Transubstantiation
Furthermore, RCs overall are typically close to Episcopalians in evidences of spiritual commitment, being close to last in such, as well as also being far more liberal in moral views than their evangelical counterparts: http://www.peacebyjesus.com/RC-Stats_vs._Evang.html
In addition, your interpretation of Jn. 6:53 would require one to believe in Transubstantiation to be born again, which is clearly contrary to scripture, as well as how Jesus lived by the Father, which is what He used to describe how we “live” by Him,” (Jn. 6:57), in which His “meat” was to do His will, (Jn. 4:34) as He lived by every Word of God, (Mt. 4:4), that being spirit and life, (Jn. 6:63) and in John and the rest of the N.T. is how souls gained life in themselves, (Jn. 20:31) by believing the gospel . (Eph. 1:13)
Amazing how effective the left is at destroying institutions.
That would not be a real problem as most Catholics do not believe it is wrong to use contraceptives (which i agree should not be used), and while you can consider them all excommunicated by invoking latae sententiae, but Rome treats such and far more “nominal Catholics” as members in life and in death, which the examples of even such as Teddy Kennedy attest.
Nor are you the local ordinary to whom the judgment of such “notorious sinners” belongs, (Canon 1184) and which would be what is in conformity with Scriptural discipline. And which was part of a recent FR debate. (http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/religion/2901874/posts?page=68#68)
In addition, most Catholic converts to evangelical churches do not do so because of doctrine, much less due to strictness of doctrine as effectually taught, but because of lack of spiritual fulfillment in Catholicism. http://www.peacebyjesus.com/RC-Stats_vs._Evang.html#DEMOGRAPHICS
The Catholic Church is certainly not liberal. No homo marriage, no abortion for any reason, no women ordination. This has been the same for 2,000 years. The only thing the Church does that I have problems with is it’s lackadaisical attitude towards illegals. But I think the reason for that is 99% of illegals are Catholic. I can’t think of another reason. Most of my fellow Catholics believe in legal immigration.
What some cafetereia catholic does has nothing at all to do with officlal doctrine of the Catholic Church. Committed Catholics that actually take their faith serious are conservative to the bone. I am not taking about the Pelosis and Bidens of the world, who should be excommunicated for bringing great scandal to the Church.
Except that the Catholic Church considers Anglican orders invalid. Without a valid priesthood, there can be no Eucharist. That is why Anglican clergy who convert must be ordained Catholic priests if they desire Catholic priesthood.

I sincerely hope you can use this opportunity to really look into this, and seriously consider coming all the way home.
Well we do have some liberal leaning members. Thankfully our priest is a holy man, but getting up in years. I pray we continue to be a light to the world.
