Our living world is driven by information and involves an information system (RNA/DNA) which is analogous to http/html/xml, and molecular equivalents of every basic part of a modern computer as well as computer networks. No particle could cause all of that. Information and intelligence do not just sort of happen or form up out of inert materials due to the action of static electricity or wind.

What’s so horrid about scientists today is that they know that DNA, RNA and even many enzymes are computer programs so sophisticated that they can barely decode fragments of them, yet they are so closed-minded that they cannot permit themselves to acknowledge any superior intelligence (which requires a being possessing such intelligence) that would have wrote them despite knowing it had to have been written and did not merely happen by chance. How can even the scientific method proceed with closed minds in the discipline?

They don't?

I'd been thinking that self-assembly was pretty much inherent in matter ~ from the clustering of quarks up to the joinder of DNA and the production of RNA.

It's a regular old universe of machines ~ fantastic machines ~ marvelous machines ~ every one of which is connected in some way to all the others.

Well, the thing is not actually a “particle,” but is just a piece in a puzzle that seems to fit in a hole in particle physics. Funny how things work, though. Astronomers invented epicycles to explain the apparent motions of the planets AS OBSERVED. Fit neatly, mathematically. Which is one reson why Copernicus revival of the heliocentric system didn’t get much traction at first. UNTIL, of course, Kepler broke through the prejudice in favor of circles and showed that the Planets move in elliptical orbits. AND observations with the telescope brought in more data to consider. Not much doubt that this is will not be the final word.
