Why do you think Hitler (yimach shemo vezikhro!) was worse than any Communist? Because he was a bigot. If he had only killed fifteen million people or so in twelve years at random he would have gone down in history as a gentle visionary. But oh, no. He had to mar his perfectly justified social engineering with . . . with . . . prejudice! That was uncalled for. Yuck. That's why his primary categorization by history is not dictator, mass murderer, warmonger, breaker of solemn promises, or any other such thing, but "bigot." This means he's just as bad as Archie Bunker!
Why do you think a "hate crime" is so much worse than a regular crime? Because bigotry is involved. Murder is a bad thing. But bigotry is an abomination that cannot be tolerated! Don't get me wrong; murder is a bad thing and it should be discouraged. After all . . . it could lead to bigotry.
I hope this clears up your questions on this subject and leads to correct thinking on your part from now on. If not, I shall report you to the Thought Police . . . er, by which I mean the good kind of Thought Police (ie, the one's who aren't bigots).[/sarcasm]
