I did. I asked God to be happy and with Him.
Right then, a bush burst into a fire, but the fire didn't consume the bush. I heard a loud rumbling, and the clouds parted, and the light shone down upon me. I heard a booming voice say, "I AM YOUR GOD, THE FATHER, THE ALPHA AND THE OMEGA, AND I CREATED YOU. And, it turns out, creating you was a huge mistake. You suck. I don't like you at all. In answer to your question: No, you cannot be with me. No, you won't be happy. You kinda remind me of a diseased lemur, only without the cuteness. I was thinking of squashing you like a grape, but it's more fun to poke you and watch you squirm."
Sometimes God has to smack us upside the head to teach us that we aren’t Him.
You’ve been reading Douglas Adams again, haven’t you?
LoL
Now I’m gonna have to try and dig out your phone number . . . talk about a needful miracle . . . Wheeee.
LUB BRO. SIGH.
Instead, ask God to be happy with you. This happens when you come to Him in Jesus Name and ask Him to change you by His grace into His son. The LORD receives us into His loving family by accepting us just as we are, but with our knowing that we will never be the same again. We let Him know that we have been making a mess of our life and ask Him to become LORD of our life. He washes away our sins by the blood that Jesus shed for us. Jesus shed blood is the price required by God's justice as the payment for our sins. Jesus died on the cross, taking our place, and paid the full price of our sins by His death. There is nothing left for us to do but accept the forgiveness He freely offers us as a gift.
Ask Jesus to come into heart and become LORD of your life. He will. He promises to, for it is written in the Bible. You will become a new creature in Christ Jesus and then you will find that God is happy with you. Out of a heart of gratitude and also an overwhelming sense of indebtedness to God for His grace in your life, that He actually saved one such as yourself, by giving His precious Son's life for you, you will serve Him and love Him with all of your heart.
