Any Freeper bird lovers know if robins reuse their nests? I had to severely trim back our hedges last summer and when I cleaned up the boughs there were two nests inside.

Not much I can do about it know one way or the other but I am curious.

From my understanding... they don’t. Long story short, my youngest just adored knowing a robin was raising her babies in a bush close to the house. She cried when the babies flew away and the mama bird left. We did wait till the early Fall but we kept the nest in her bedroom. During the entire Summer before... the robin did not return and no other bird moved in. I have known some folks who collected old nests and decorate their Christmas tree with them. It looks pretty cool...
