That was quite an NDE he had. Obviously NOT a hallucination etc etc, because he was a completely changed man in less than 30 minutes. From “double atheist” to devout believer almost instantly. His wife and close friends, also atheists, could not understand such a sudden and radical change. Storm and his wife divorced a few years later, and he remarried a devout Christian.
From what I have read, hellish NDE’s account for about 40% of NDE’s. Obviously a hellish NDE cannot be dissmissed as wishful thinking or euhoria from lack of oxygen.
Also we have all had really vivid dreams and even hallucinations from the effects of medication. Yet even though at the time they seem real, we quickly understand they are not. For those who have had NDEs they become the strongest memories they ever had.
God bless him.
The Lord works in mysterious ways.
beautiful. praise Jesus. never descended into atheism like this but this story confirms my own struggle to see the truth and the many thoughts i’ve been fortunate enough to receive from God.
I also recall from studying NDE’s earlier in my life that quite often NDE’S from suicide attempts are remarkedly different from ‘regular’ NDE’s, much less comforting...
