It's got it all, just like the missal I had 50 years ago.
Spelling error: It’s published by Rev. James SOCIAS.
I didn’t know about this one, but it looks great. Have you used it? It appears to be very user-friendly, which is a plus for me.
Thank you!
I have not used it yet. It will be out in a few days (couple of weeks?). I think it will be very nice and the fact that it will be cheaper than the MTF one is a plus. And I want to make this clear - I have nothing against the MTF missal either. I’ve seen them. The printing job is fantastic. I just don’t like superstiff hardback missals, and all of the MTF missals are exactly that. A “Leatherflex” will be easier to hold, lighter to carry, etc.
That’s a great point. I haven’t seen the DRM in person yet, so I wasn’t aware of that. I don’t want the stiff binding either.
That’s one reason I like the St. Joseph leather set; because it’s flexible, but sturdy. But St. Joseph’s uses the NAB text, which is not the best translation for the readings. And there are 2 volumes for weekdays, instead of just one.
I’ve made up my mind to get the St. Paul one. It looks awesome and the price is very good. I signed up to be notified when they’re ready.
Thank you very much, again!
I’m glad I could help. If there’s a Catholic bookstore in your area you might want to actually look at one in person before plunking down your money! I believe in being on the safe side when I spend $45 (or $75 for the DRM) on a book I want to use for years and years!
The best part about the MTF hand Missals is that the Latin and English are printed on facing pages.
I would definitely recommend that one over the St Joseph's Missal (from Catholic Book Publishing). Although it is more expensive, you get what you pay for.
That IS the best part. It takes me back to my girlhood, reading the Latin and hearing it in my brain.
Dominum vobiscum; e cum spiritu tuo.
How could I ever forget that?
