My grandmother left her longtime Methodist church after the pastor tossed the bible on the floor during a sermon and declared it to be irrelevant in the modern world.
These days he’s probably reading sermons out of Newsweek.

Here in CT the Methodist church is very liberal.. He probably never believed and was just playing church. Many evangelicals playing church today (Matt. 7:21-23)
