Yeah, it's pretty harsh. None of us wrong-doers get to escape, unless we straighten up. But pretty much everyone who reads those verses knows in their hearts whether they're doing right, or wrong.

And then there's Verse 11:

And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

In the Bible, it's about acknowledging your wrongs, confessing them, giving your life to Christ. And should you fall down again, climb out of the hole again. And again. And again.

Sin is sin. God is perfection and can not tolerate sin. Simply because tolerating sin is condoning sin. An that would violate God's perfection.

Homosexuality, murder, adultery, drunkenness, etc ... are all sin. But the good news is that God does not call on us to be sinless. Rather the charge to mankind is to turn away from sin and if we believe in Jesus his son, and work to clean up our lives, confess our sins and ask for God's forgiveness, he will be faithful to forgive.

No one is perfect. God not only knows that, he made us imperfect, and with free will.

It’s up to you to find a life where you feel satisfied that you are right with God.

No matter what, He loves you.

Lordy...that sounded cult like. lol But, it’s true.

Harsh? Perhaps. ut God is Just.

Sin is sin. Run afoul of one, you have broken all. Hence the need for Jesus and repentance and letting Him change you and your life.

All sins are not the same, but they all do require repentance, especially the more serious sins.

God is perfect, so sin is sin to Him. Jesus said that hating one’s brother is a murderer. It is not up to us to split hairs, it’s up to us to turn away from sin and strive toward righteousness.

EVen one tiny little sin is wrong in God’s sight. That’swhy He provided you an ‘out’, if you will take it. Although, frankly, I don’t thinkindulging in an occassional snort is a sin, myself. “Drunkeness”, on the other hand, can be extremely foolish, depending on the where, when, and what you do under the influence

I leave the sin part to God’s judgment.
