1 CORINTHIANS 2:1-5 1 Now when I came to you, brothers, I did not come with any brilliance of oratory or wise argument to announce to you the mystery of God.

2 I was resolved that the only knowledge I would have while I was with you was knowledge of Jesus, and of him as the crucified Christ.

3 I came among you in weakness, in fear and great trembling

4 and what I spoke and proclaimed was not meant to convince by philosophical argument, but to demonstrate the convincing power of the Spirit,

5 so that your faith should depend not on human wisdom but on the power of God.

Sorry that line on the passages was aligned wrong. Here it is again:

Where can a Catholic receive Jesus - His Body and Blood?

In the Catholic Church at Mass in Communion.

John 6:53

48 I am the bread of life. 49 Your fathers ate manna in the desert, and are dead. 50 This is the bread which comes down from heaven: that if any man eat of it, he may not die. 51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever; and the bread that I will give is my flesh, for the life of the world.”

I am fairly safe in this argument, I have no wisdom, brilliance or knowledge, so I have got to hope God does. I am fairly certain God does the palm slap against the forehead with a deep sigh after I pray.

Christ says he is the gateway to heaven and the vine such that we get nourishment with him as the connecting path. But John 6 is much much more than mere symbolism as He categorically states that “For my flesh is food indeed, and my blood is drink indeed” (John 6:55).

Even at the end of John 6, Jesus rebukes those who think of what He has said as a metaphor by emphasising that

61 Aware that his disciples were grumbling about this, Jesus said to them, “Does this offend you?
62 Then what if you see the Son of Man ascend to where he was before!
63 The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you—they are full of the Spirit[e] and life.
64 Yet there are some of you who do not believe.”

Jesus repeats the rebuke against just thinking in terms of human logic by saying John 8:15 You judge by human standards; I pass judgment on no one.
16 But if I do judge, my decisions are true, because I am not alone. I stand with the Father, who sent me.

Just using human logic, without God’s blessings behind it fails in grace.John 6:63 does not refer to Jesus’s statement of his own flesh, if you read in context but refers to using human logic instead of dwelling on God’s words.

And, all of this is confirmed in Paul’s writings to the Corinthians (1 Cor. 10:16)
6 Is not the cup of thanksgiving for which we give thanks a participation in the blood of Christ? And is not the bread that we break a participation in the body of Christ?

and also 1 Cor 11:27-29
27 So then, whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of sinning against the body and blood of the Lord.
28 Everyone ought to examine themselves before they eat of the bread and drink from the cup.
29 For those who eat and drink without discerning the body of Christ eat and drink judgment on themselves.

How clear can Paul get? “The bread IS a participation in the body of Christ” and “who eats the bread... will have to answer for the body and blood of the Lord” This is not just mere bread and wine anymore. This is the body and blood of Christ.

>>How clear can Paul get?<<

Oh he and Jesus were very clear. They clearly stated that to think that it’s the flesh that counts should be rebuked. It’s like the Catholics who believe it’s the “real” flesh that is important.

63 The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing.

Notice that it’s the “words” that are life rather than the “flesh” like Catholics believe.

The words I have spoken to you—they are full of the Spirit[e] and life.

Jesus than goes on to claim that even though He told them they still didn’t believe that the words were the “bread” of life but were focused on the “flesh” like Catholics are.

64 Yet there are some of you who do not believe.”

Shame on Catholics and others who still think it's the "flesh".

AMEN!! You are referring to the Eucharist.
AMEN! The body and the blood.

Yet, a believer must never forget that all of this still makes a difference if it’s not in their heart.

Because even Judas received the Body and the blood and was baptized. Judas received it straight from JESUS! How beautiful that must have been.

But, let’s all remember these things as believers:

MARK 1:
6 John wore a garment of camel-skin, and he lived on locusts and wild honey.

7 In the course of his preaching he said, ‘After me is coming someone who is more powerful than me, and I am not fit to kneel down and undo the strap of his sandals.

8 I have baptised you with water, but he will baptise you with the Holy Spirit.’

JOHN 3:22
22 After this, Jesus went with his disciples into the Judaean countryside and stayed with them there and baptised.

MARK 14:21
21 Yes, the Son of man is going to his fate, as the scriptures say he will, but alas for that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! Better for that man if he had never been born.’

HEBREWS 2:10-11
10 It was fitting that God, for whom and through whom everything exists, should, in bringing many sons to glory, make perfect through suffering the leader of their salvation.

11 For consecrator and consecrated are all of the same stock; that is why he is not ashamed to call them brothers

The heart is what matter as GOD says so beautifully through Mary here before the physical birth of the baby Jesus:

LUKE 1:51
51 He has used the power of his arm, he has routed the arrogant of heart.

1 CORINTHIANS 9:22
22 To the weak, I made myself weak, to win the weak. I accommodated myself to people in all kinds of different situations, so that by all possible means I might bring some to salvation.

It must all be received from the heart.

Praise JESUS!

How clear can Paul get? “The bread IS a participation in the body of Christ” and “who eats the bread... will have to answer for the body and blood of the Lord” This is not just mere bread and wine anymore. This is the body and blood of Christ

How clear can Jesus say what he means:
I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever; and the bread that I will give is my flesh, for the life of the world.”

22And as they did eat, Jesus took bread, and blessed, and broke it, and gave to them, and said, Take, eat: this is my body.

23And he took the cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them: and they all drank of it.

24And he said unto them, This is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many.

Still stuck on the physical flesh like Jesus rebuked the apostles for doing ey? Hopefully one day you will understand that Jesus is the “Word” of God.

Jesus said that He was the living bread that “came down from heaven”.

John 6:51:"I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever;"

It was not Jesus “flesh” that “came down from heaven”.
