I do not blame you.
I left the church in the 90s, but soon started my international travels.
In Slovakia, I sometimes visited the very large and ornate RC churches...very impressive.
In old town Bratislava, there were about five of them, all within a short walk of each other.

Here in the Philippines, my son, now 9 months old, was christened in our small town’s main church. (Catholic, of course)
It is over 300 years old, and holds maybe 1000 people.
