I'd say this isn't aimed so much as Catholics as it is against the illegal (mostly) alien Mexicans that are doing most of the grave digging in all too many parts of this nation.

I personally witnessed a very similar problem (too small hole) at a Jewish cemetery, dug by, and filled by Mexicans that could not speak a word of English... happened recently in a Los Angeles suburban cemetery.

Why don’t you check the link in post #2 if you are in doubt about the anti-Catholicism at play here.

There’s no mention of Mexicans in the article. And, the article ends by saying the claim was investigated and ruled “unfounded”

They dig graves with a backhow around here.

I don’t remember the last time a grave was dug by Manual Labor the Mexican gravedigger.

To many people being anti-illegal alien equals being anti-catholic.

Unless you have any information indicating otherwise, I doubt this grave was dug by Mexicans. There are hardly any Mexicans in Western Pa. Allegheny County is only 0.87% Hispanic or Latino of any race. Pittsburgh is the least-Hispanic metro area with a population greater than 1,000,000, and if you look at a list of least Hispanic metro areas of any size, you will find most to be in the Pennsylvania-Ohio-West Virginia tri-state area.

Link to Census Data

I was actually at this cemetery recently. (If you like unpronounceable Polish names, it is the place to be.) I did not notice any Mexicans, and the only reason I would ever suspect Mexicans to be there is because it is located near the small mill town of Etna, which is the only area I can think of in Western Pa that ever had a noticeable Mexican population. However, it is very small, and it has been there for generations. There is no large group of Mexicans fresh off crossing the border, like how you would typically think a Mexican community to be like.
