I am guessing that in the chancery offices in Rochester and Albany, there was active celebration when “gay marriage” was made official in NY.

Don't recall the parish name but in the RC Diocese of Rochester, there was a celebration following the passage of the ssm bill. Both bishops reach mandatory retirement age in 2013. I pray Pope Benedict is still around to select their replacements.

Excellent observations! Thank you for taking the time to offer that clarification. You are right on target with your commentary. Dolan suffers no fools and I am confident he is working behind the scenes to ensure the bishops of Albany and Rochester are replaced in 2013, with more solidly orthodox ones.
