High Tech-High Touch was defined in John Naisbitts Megatrends in 1982. It defines two sides of human progress technology and attention to beauty. I look for threesomes in human discourse. Add the broad field of High Finance. High Tech; High Touch; High Finance.
The importance placed in the order of priority of the three determines the quality and strength of society itself. The love of and speculation on money is now first before its primary servant role as the medium of exchange, growth of high-tech and high-touch is limited to the desires of the despot. Those dreamers and entrepreneurs who make it happen technologically and artistically suffer while the speculator and the despot bask in their deadly two-class totalitarian mindset.
The whole diverse range of human talent and endeavor, from technology to artistry to spirituality, a growing understanding and intuitive feeling about life will show that high-tech and high-touch.
This leads to full, meaningful employment at the maximum level of available individual and communal skill potential not just jobs. It takes willingly applied wealth and assets of pure investment capitalism to solidify and broaden human progress, not government entitlements or the mandates of the usurer. A society that is balanced in its secular and spiritual outlook will prosper.
It will utilize all the talent, skills and resources available to it, and might even be in the will of God. There must be a balance, and it must be monitored and maintained constantly.
The American Declaration/Constitutional model is the historically proven ideal. A high quality building development or convenience requires more creative design; imaginative use of materials and location; spiritually uplifting beauty and a higher level of maintenance. These in total demand the broadest range of skills from the designer,
