I hear you. My parish priest is old school and from Malta. He often tells us, "I love you all dearly, but I am not going to Hell for you."
If something is wrong he is obligated to address the issue.

I would have to disagree that it is not a sin until urges are acted on.
If you could read the thoughts of a man who has thoughts and urges to molest and torture children. However this man never acted on those urges. You would still consider this man one sick and depraved individual.
Absolute depravity is the human condition before God.

Sure there is.....it is loosely and sparsely translated. Example:
God spake, "Thou shalt [something something redacted] lay with beasts."
And so on....

More than 100 ordained Christian ministers have signed the proclamation, including leaders from Lutheran, Episcopalian, United Church of Christ, United Methodist, and Presbyterian churches. I looked over the list of signators, and, as far as I can tell, all the "Lutherans" listed are from the ELCA, which uses the word "Lutheran" in its title but is not really Lutheran. You will not find a Missouri Synod, Wisconsin Synod, or ELS pastor on that list.

We can use this to get all demon possessed preachers in one place and doom them all to infinite damnation.

Well, we are all sinners. No dispute about that.
We are all advised not to look a woman to lust after her. But who among us hasn't?
I can't think that being tempted is a sin, as we know that Jesus was tempted even as we. And we also know that He was sinless.
So I stand by my statement. I like redheads. I can't help this attraction, not that I've tried to. And perhaps homosexuality is their burden to bear. But the acts are prohibited.

I would bet that the Lutheran pastors are all from the ELCA or liberal branch. As a confessional Lutheran (LCMS) I can guarantee any pastor signing such a proclamation would be looking for another job. I hate it when all Lutherans get painted with the ELCA brush!

God has been enlightened and changed His Word to be more in line with the 21st century. Gotta keep up with the times you know. Can’t have that old fashioned Hell and Brimstone stuff anymore.
