She has a liflong passion to become an ordained minister.

No she is homosexual.

Their sexual preference is what rules their lives.

Their family, their faith, their race, all take 2nd. place to their homosexuality. All take 2nd. place to their desire to seek the big O.

Tell that to the RPCNA and RPCES congregations.

Is PCA scripturally solid, or is the mainline rot beginning to set in? We just moved to a new area and are looking for a church. So far we’ve tried PCUSA (I know, I know, but one of the best churches in my old town was a PCUSA church) and PCA. The little PCA church was a real breath of fresh air. I can’t find much info on their denominational web site. Frankly, I’m a little distrustful of any mainline church these days, but I’m more sick of the doctrinal chaos in the congregational churches.

The PCA was a hard split from the mainline, not soft. A Scriptural base is required for everything. The Book of Church order is solid in that way. The five points of Calvinism have been preached in every PCA church I've gone to.

If I hadn't gone to the PCA I would have missed out on a ton of Scripture having grown up in the liberal churches.

Due to the PCA, my understanding of Scripture has taken leaps and bounds.

Yours in Christ,

Scott

RPCNA is the Reformed Presbyterian Congregation of North America. They are Not the PCA.

RPCES is the Reformed Presbyterian Church, Evangelical Synod. Again, they are Not the PCA.

Please get your facts straight.

The PCA Book of Church Order states:

24-1. Every church shall elect persons to the offices of ruling elder and deacon in the following manner: At such times as determined by the Session, communicant members of the congregation may submit names to the Session, keeping in mind that each prospective officer should be an active male member who meets the qualifications set forth in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1.

Thanks! I went back this Sunday and continued to be impressed. A lot of the members are "refugees" from newly liberalized churches in our local large town. They have loads of respect for scripture.

It just might be what I am looking for.
